My Approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrates all three waves:

 The Three Waves of CBT

  • 1st wave: classical behavioral techniques (e.g., exposure, reinforcement)

  • 2nd wave: cognitive therapy (e.g., cognitive restructuring, ABC model)

  • 3rd wave: mindfulness- and acceptance-based approaches (e.g., ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy)

 

In addition, I use trauma-focused methods like:

​

  • Imagery Rescripting & Reprocessing Therapy (IRRT) for PTSD and other trauma-related disorders as defined by ICD‑11

  • Chair work from Schema Therapy to support emotional processing and change
     

My approach is individualized, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive—especially for expats navigating life in Denmark.
